Is it just me or has this card been waaaaaaaaaaaay better than I could possibly imagine he should be?

Every time some one untaps with this guy they seems to win, and he has random synergies all over the place. Is this something other people are noticing, or is it just an anomaly in my area?

Literally the last game of EDH I played, I died to 15 elephants. I was not the player with the deadodon. 20 minutes later I learned the deadeye + terastodon player died next, and then the weakest player in the game actually won (ie not the player who lost 15 lands). Was a good game.

Is this really rules discussion? Feels like a chatter topic, haha.

But I have in fact come to LOVE the creature. It's amazing with everything from Acidic Slime to Zealous Conscripts! Not to mention Palinchron and it's ilk.

It's pretty insane. My prediction: Deadeye Navigator eventually becomes as much of a groaner as cards like Consecrated Sphinx and Sorin Markov once more people start using him. Let's just say I'm glad Sundering Titan won't be around with this.

That's why I've picked up as many of him as I have EDH decks that run blue. He is that good, with a lot of things. Is he broken or overpowering? Not at all, not really. I've lost plenty of games after getting him out with something fun, but for the most part he does well.

However... Deadeye Navigator + Draining Whelk with a Venser, Shaper Savant and a Seedborn Muse... that's just mean. (Had that happen to me in a game)

Despite opening roughly 3 boxes of AVR (go-go Gadget Judge Comp!), I still don't own one of these. If I don't crack some after Atlanta, I'm probably going to buy a playset.

This card seems ultra-bonkers with basically everything. And if it's even half as strong as Mistmeadow Witch, it will be an all-star.

You guys are killing me. I fell in love with Deadeye during the prerelease and promptly bought a bunch of copies, but haven't put him in my EDH decks yet. I need to get on that.

I'm on the "this dude is obviously ape shit" train. Last month I bought 4 for a dollar at a gs. It's the most broken blue card ever. It fit right in to my bounce theme mono u list. It's way more un fair than a lot of banned cards lol. I stole on opponents sun Titan and used it for insane land ramp and like... 42 boomerangs a turn, for one land tap each, after having it active for a couple turns.
This card simply demands a wrath.

This card is the absolute bomb. I made a blinking Sharuum deck and this is one of the shining jewels in just so many ways. Though, I realized just now that with Peregrine Drake I have an infinite combo in the deck. Balls...guess the drake is coming out with the irony being I didn't want to be "that guy" with Palinchron in my deck.

Most of my experiences have been with him in decks like momir vig, where whatever you want to do with him is readily available once you get him active (vig has the additional advantage of being able to tutor for HIM as well).

I added him to my Animar (almost) all creatures deck after I realized that he could be good. Then I topdecked him with a bunch of mana and a bunch of dudes out and was like "Holy Sh*t!"

Even just protecting himself and your general for 1U is already pretty good. Abusing critters like Wall of Blossoms feels almost dirty and getting infi mana with Palinchron-esque creatures seems almost too easy :)

I put one in my venser bounce deck, and mother of god does he peform. Definitly an allstar card card in any deck that can run him.

"Tooth and Nail for Deadeye Navigator + anything" is the new "Tooth and Nail for Prime Time + Avenger of Zendikar".

Okay, I'm somewhat kidding there but so far that has come up exactly once in my playgroup. I was play Maelstrom Wanderer and the exchange when something like this:

"Tooth and Nail with Entwine?"
*sign* "Okay, fine."
"Alright, I'll get Deadeye Navigator and..."
"Fuck it. I scoop."
"What? You don't even know what else I'm getting!"
"Doesn't matter. You win."

That's not exaggeration or hyperbole. It's pretty damn close to a word-for-word transcript.

(For the record I was totally going to get Tyrant of Discord)
