Just play midnight guard squirrel nest and song of the dryads. Turn your midnight guard into a land, anchant the land with squirrel nest then destroy the song of the dryads and boom, infinite squirrels. At least I think it works that way.

Squirrel Nest falls off once Midnight Guard stops being a land. It will get put into your graveyard as a state-based action. You won't get to respond to this: as far as the game is concerned, one moment it will be an enchanted forest, the next moment it will be a normal creature and Squirrel Nest will be in your graveyard.

Quote:
303.4c If an Aura is enchanting an illegal object or player as defined by its enchant ability and other applicable effects, the object it was attached to no longer exists, or the player it was attached to has left the game, the Aura is put into its owner’s graveyard. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)

Nice thinking though. :)

I looked up other alternatives and found one: Midnight Guard enchanted with Presence of Gond can create infinite elves.

And Earthcraft/Squirrel Nest is still the de facto two-card inf. squirrel combo.

Midnight Guard enchanted with Splinter Twin gives infinite hasty Guards. Throw in a Catapult Master to exile all your opponents' creatures as well (probably overkill, but maybe an opponent has a Fortune Thief or a Blazing Archon). As an alternative to Catapult Master you could use Purphoros, God of the Forge or Kyren Negotiations or Goblin Bombardment, in which case your token generator could be Elemental Mastery or Twin or Presence, but I think Catapult Master gets more style points.

If you want fun-bo, there's bound to be an infinite (or semi) 3-5 card Acorn Catapult combo. Likely with an indestructible target you control (maybe Stuffy Doll if you want damage too).

Indestructible creature, creature that taps for 1 or more mana, Acorn Catapult, Karn's Touch (there's a lot of options here), and Intruder Alarm. But I'm sure you could cut this down to fewer cards.

How about Acorn Catapult + Dross Scorpion + Pitiless Plunderer + March of the Machines? Only 4 cards but it also needs to take place on Sokenzan. Alternatively we could do it on another Plane (or no Plane at all) with Goblin Chieftain and Xenograft/Arcane Adaptation, but then we're back up to 6 cards.

Why not Chief of the Foundry or similar? I feel like Voltaic Construct and Ashnod's Altar have possibilities. Maybe with Sydri or Karn, Silver Golem.

Why not Chief of the Foundry or similar?

Sure, with some help from Thousand-Year Elixir or Akroma's Memorial? The Treasure tokens need to be able to tap to sacrifice themselves.

The best I have been able to come up with is Acorn Catapult + Clock of Omens + Mycosynth Lattice + Faces of the Past. You need to make six squirrels before you can go infinite, but that isn't that hard with Clock of Omens + Mycosynth Lattice.
These four cards also only generate infinite mana and not infinite squirrels, but you can use the mana to cast your commander infinite times and acorn it to death to get the squirrels.

As I just suggested elsewhere, put Druid's Call on any indestructible creature and cast Goblin Bombardment and any token doubler. Then win by shooting your opponents with infinite kamikaze squirrels.
