This is a deck where two different ideas merged together: witches partying in the forest, and an oversized horror used as a witch's familiar to protect...whatever. Frogs as a familiar has a nice connection, since toads and frogs are connected very deeply to the lore surrounding witch's--for a short example:

Okay, now with that out of the way, the deck is going to be a delicate balance of making both Gitrog do its value engine dance and play backup singer while Shadowborn Apostles--my witches--die. Over and over and over again. They'll die, I'll bring them back, and then they'll die again. They deserved it, just trust me.

Demons and Witches
30 x Shadowborn Apostle--yeah, you need a lot of them to make this work.

Abhorrent Overlord--prerelease foil
Extractor Demon--brilliantly goes with both Gitrog and my witches
Harvester of Souls--the card draw is great...but I'm not set on this guy yet.
Pestilence Demon
Ravenous Demon--prerelease foil; not a great Demon, but I really feel like the connection to the theme
Reaper from the Abyss
Xathrid Demon

Dark Ritual
Ice Cauldron
Gallows at Willow Hill--yeah, it's nice irony to have witches hanging people, and I won't take it out

Synergy and Stuff
Worm Harvest
Drown in Filth--not quite sure this'll stay, but I had a foil version on hand and it sort of fits
Into the Wilds
Creeping Renaissance

Bloodbond March
Golgari Germination
Hecatomb
Lifeline
Gutter Grime
Thrumming Stone
Cryptolith Rite

Other Stuff
Phyrexian Reclamation
Crop Rotation--was Sylvan Scrying, but I found one of my copies of Crop Rotation
Harrow
Recollect--full art version, which is sweet
Search for Tomorrow
Explosive Vegetation
Leyline of the Void
Killing Wave

Lands
Barren Moor...................................Dakmor Salvage
Tectonic Edge...................................Tranquil Thicket
Blighted Woodland...................................Golgari Rot Farm
Polluted Mire...................................Haunted Fengraf
Drownyard Temple...................................Grim Backwoods
Evolving Wilds...................................Crypt of Agadeem
Bojuka Bog...................................Terramorphic Expanse
Piranha Marsh...................................Svogthos, the Restless Tomb
Westvale Abbey
10 x Forest...................................13 x Swamp

It was mentioned to me I could probably find a place for Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker, and I possibly will as I test the deck out more.

I feel like if you're playing lands and demons you would really want to see Ob Nixilis, the Fallen.

Yeah, I've played the deck a couple times now and realized land-Ob would probably be a good choice versus some of these others. My problem is I have two or more other EDH decks with them, and I believe one is in my Cube. o.0

...I need to decide which whatevers actually need the card if I want to transfer it over to here.
