Just put mine together and it's going in the mailbox tomorrow.

This has me stoked!

Now the funny bit will be if I get cards I've sent...

I'm curious to hear the end of this sentence now that I've seen the cards. Great selection man, it was perfect.

Well, I did not get cards that I sent, and I'm glad you like the Damia. Took me a while to find the right art.

As for the signed cards, I have a habit of getting lots of extras signed, and you're the beneficiary. Merry Grixis!

Yes, I received mine today, didn't have time to list them or scan them when I posted that.
I got today...
Legends Vaevictis Asmadi
Foil Phantom Nishoba
FTV Doran
FTV Murmuring Bosk
FTV Karn.

3 of my favorite creatures in all of magic foil! Plus a cool dragon that I previously only owned a Chronicles version of. Thanks, I Gotta Big Deck!

I'm still searching for a foil version of one card for my sendout, never knew it would be so hard to find a foil version of him either. I might have to send out 2 packages for my person, 1 of what I have now, and a second when I can get the rest of it acquired.

I got my package today, so I thought I would share.

First the foils

And now the alters

These are the first alters I have gotten, so they made me especially giddy.

In other news, I should be sending my package out today. I had some trouble finding the proper sized box. I hope it is worth the wait.

Shmebula delivered big time. The best part is, he even sent me links with the alters, so I don't even have to figure out how to fix my scanner to show off my loot!

The first card in my present was a nifty altered up token. Do you (ancestral) recall the most famous CFBer of all? He knows if you're a bad or good Magic player; unfortunately, all of us are bad Magic players compared to...

Luis Scott Vargas-Claus!

Next, I got a bunch of handy blue staples, including Mystical Tutor, Mystic Remora, Deadeye Navigator, Clone, Brainstorm, and a couple sweet alters...

...Trinket Mage...
Image

...and Counterspell.

I've never actually owned a Counterspell before (because I'm straight up awful at this game). For years I've left up double blue with blue-splashed decks, hoping someone would be intimidated by my bluff. I'm pretty sure my playgroup will actually poop themselves when they find out I'm not bluffing anymore. Bah, humbug bitches!

I also got a copy of one of the highest rated cards of all time:

Storm Crow!

A Portal Storm Crow, no less.

And last (but not least) the most terrifying blue card of all!

Image

Thanks shmebula!

Kemev, enjoy that Island while it lasts. Since we don't get a Dec ban list we know that the RC Sold Out and is banning Island. First time ban since Arabian Nights I believe.

I happen to know, from a very reliable source, that someone is getting an Arabian Nights Bridge Island in their Grixis stocking!!

Glad you liked them Kemev!

EvilCliff - I was able to update my decks and everyone of the cards you gave me have a nicely sleeved home in a deck. I was able to play Damia the other day, and the alter got a lot of great reactions. Thanks again!

I came home from work yesterday and was surprised to see a package from UPS behind my screen door. I thought it was odd because I was pretty sure I didn't order any packages. I didn't recognize the sender either. When I opened it, I was floored. Inside was a vintage MtG deck box. I'm not sure what it came from but it has a picture of Nicol Bolas facing off against Jace, Ajani, and I think Sarkhan and Mirri . Now I finally have a cool box to store my decks in. So much better than the boring white cardboard box I've been using. But that wasn't all. The box was full of all sorts of goodies :)

All of these are foily and have nifty antler and snowflake stickers on them.
Flameblast Dragon
Krosan Tusker
Steel Hellkite
Sun Titan
Terastodon

Forest [Unglued]
Mountain [Unglued]
Plains [Unglued]

Mayael the Anima [with a Santa's hat and snowflakes]
Mayael the Anima [Overised foil] - really cool because like many I couldn't afford MtG Arsenal

and

4 amusing tokens from Card Kingdom:
a Robotic Squirrel
a Creepy Wurm (looks kind of like Massacre Wurm)
a Skeleton Bellhop
a Goblin riding a bicycle

My secret Saint Nic(ol Bolas) really came through. I was amazed by his generosity. Thank you soooo much Eli. All the cards you gave me are going right into my deck. I can't wait to play with them and see my friends reactions when I lay down these amazing cards. I loved the stickers you put on them too. Very festive <:)

And thank you Tim for organizing the Grixis gift exchange. I hope it becomes a yearly tradition. It's a lot of fun.

As soon as I get a hold of a camera I'll post photos of the cards but I just wanted to post this right away because I was so excited. Btw, how are people posting pics of their cards?

I haven't sent my Grixis gift yet because I'm waiting on some cards I ordered, but rest assured it will be in the mail soon and worth the wait.
