Prime Time and Worldfire out; Kokusho in but not as a Commander

My three decks (Mayael, Animar, Omnath) with Primeval Titan are sad... I personally didn't think he was egregious enough to get totally banned, no matter how ubiquitous he was :'(

Never played with or against Worldfire but totally support the ban.

My bet (I bought some Koko's) totally paid off :) They're going into Ghost Council and Kaalia :)

Other thoughts?

Funny thing is, I came around on this very issue a week ago.

I'll be curious to see what the general reaction is.

Kokusho back makes me happy. Primeval Titan gone, although I can understand it, makes me sad :(

I'm super happy about Koko, and if his price jumps I'll know I bought just in time. Prime Time and Worldfire both surprises and doesn't surprise me. Worldfire is really powerful, but I didnt think it got much attention. Prime Time stings a little, but in the end its for the better.

It was amusing to read like 20 minutes after we'd decided to ban it. Your timing is impressive.

Genomancer, I believe you're slightly biased (aren't you on the RC?) :P

That's very wierd... pretty sure I didn't post that. Maybe someone else is logged in as me, or there's some crazy database stuff going on.

Can I support Prime Time's banning and be sad about it at the same time? :? I totally agree with the necessity of it, but I'll miss him in my Hazezon Tamar deck, where all he did was ramp with basics.

I think it would be interesting to make a tally (even if it's just those on this forum) of how many decks now have to remove Primeval Titan. If only to get a feel of how much the card has affected the format.

I know I will have to remove it from 3 functioning decks (Mayael, Damia, and Baru) and 1 deck I was in the midst of rebuilding (Riku). Baru revolved around it for Landfall triggers so I'm gonna need to modify it's win-con. That's 4 out of my 13 EDH decks total, but 4 out of 5 that play green.

I'm very happy and sad Prime Time is gone. The people at my LGS will be in disbelief and annoyed to say the least. In the mean time I need to work on filling in the spaces, especially in Damia... it's very hard to find good mana/land fixing on creatures. :( Unfortunately I already know one guy who's going to retool his deck to abuse Kokusho... but I've not been having fun playing against him for months so this may be the final straw.

I hope so, or most of the RC is in trouble.

Bummer! With Prime Time out of standard in a couple weeks too, it's just going to sit in my binder forever, right next to Sundering Titan. (Sund Time?)

It's had plenty of use over the years as my one copy has bounced between numerous decks like the village bicycle. I guess it's time for it to enjoy its retirement!

I do want a Kokusho now. Amazing in Dark Mike.

Should have banned Consectrated Sphinx instead of Prime Time....

Don't care about Worldfire...

Now I need to get a copy (3) of Koko...

But Prime Time made four of my decks competitive enough to play in my group...he's gone now, and im going to have to put in douche cards just to keep up...Whorinclex, Iona, etc...
