First real attempt at making a solid deck for the format....

General: Sek'Kuar

Creatures (29):

Birds of Paradise
Rag Dealer
Mogg Fanatic
Gruul Guildmage
Rakdos Guildmage
Golgari Guildmage
Kavu Titan
Viridian Zealot
Sakura-Tribe Elder
Lyzolda
Goblin Sharpshooter
Shambling Shell
Twigwalker
Yavimaya Dryad
Yavimaya Elder
Eternal Witness
Masticore
Nekrataal
Flametongue Kavu
Savra
Shock Troops
Blazing Specter
Spectral Force
Golgari-Grave Troll
Grave Shell Scarab
Vulturous Zombie
Kiki-Jiki
Gleancrawler
Kaervek

Spells (29):

Goryo's Vengeance
Contagion
Sickening Shoal
Blazing Shoal
Nevinyrral's Disk
Abundance
Sylvan Library
Wild Growth
Mindslaver
Defense of the Heart
Crop Rotation
Kodama's Reach
Rakdos Signet
Golgari Signet
Gruul Signet
Life from the Loam
Tsabo's Decree
Utopia Sprawl
Natural Emergence
Umezawa's Jitte
Terminate
Putrefy
Pernicious Deed
Entomb
Wheel of Fortune
Wheel of Fate
Dread Return
Zombify
Vigor Mortis

Lands (41):

Shizo
Miren
Okina
Shinka
Gaea's Cradle
Blood Crypt
Tresserhorn Sinks
Sulfurous Springs
Rakdos Carnarium
Overgrown Tomb
Llanowar Wastes
Golgari Rot Farm
Stomping Ground
Highland Weald
Karplusan Forest
Gruul Turf
Svothgos
Skarg
Tendo Ice Bridge
City of Brass
Gemstone Mine
Volrath's Stronghold
SwarmYard
Moutain x6
Forest x7
Swamp x5

The deck can do a few intersting things. Most of the creatures sac themselves to create more Graveborns with Sek'Kuar. Lyzolda has a field day with the tokens.

Defense of the Heart, for Eternal Witness, and Kiki-Jiki. Then Defense of the heart every turn....

Giant turns with Goblin Sharpshooter

Abundance + Sylvan Library

Dredge + a small reanimation suite.

Questions to be asked:

Is the deck trying to do too much?
Is the concentration of creatures too thin?
Is trying to get a two-card combo with minimal tutoring in a 100-card deck too rare to include?

I think that 29 creatures is enough, however it looks like you might run out of steam fairly quickly.

In a format where each player has 40 life, and there are multiple opponents at the table, smaller creatures like Kavu Titan, Shock Troops, and even Masticore are seriously devalued. When I make an EDH deck, if I include a card that doesn't do much but small beats... well, I can't think of an example of a time that I have.
When the tife total is 40, most things with less than 5 or 6 power can be considered small beats.

I really like your Kiki-Jiki/Witness idea, and Lyzolda and Savra are each great. What you need, I think, is more fat, especially with the amount of mana you're running. Suggestions:
Protean Hulk, Symbiotic Wurm(!), Penumbra Wurm, Hell's Caretaker, Skeletal Vampire, Tsabo Tavoc
Also, your deck is begging for Damnation, if you have access to it.

Another thing you're lacking is card advantage. Spending a turn to play Harmonize is a fine play, and a Phyrexian Arena can win the game on its own.
You noted that you're light on tutoring. Diabolic and Demonic Tutor are each great black cards, in my opinion.

Check out this post if you want to see my decklists, which have been very successful for me.

Volrath's Stronghold is definitely worth it.
When playing my Oros deck, my most common tutor target is Weathered Wayfarer, who finds the Stronghold on his first activation. My second most common target is the Stronghold itself.

One of my favorite cards in my original (tournament-winning) Living Death deck, I find that the Stronghold often sputters in EDH. YMMV, but there are many times I see it, but few times I see it running the kind of recursion you want.

That is what i was thinking in the first place... Will just test it out, then make the final judgement :)

Well, in my Savra build, Stronghold is slightly less effective than my other 2 permanent recursion pieces (Oversold Cemetery and Oath Of Ghouls) because of the mana requirement and the replacement of the draw, but it is still ridiculous and will typically allow me to win games that I otherwise wouldn't have. If you have the abiliy to run it, by which I mean you are playing black and playing creatures, then you probably should.

Stronghold's life expectancy is about a billion times longer than either of those enchantments.

FFT.

Depends. Our playgroup tends to play more land hate than enchantment hate (for whatever reason), so the enchantments often outlive Stronghold. That is one of the big reasons I said that the 2 enchantments have been more effective for me a lot of the time.

Seems unlikely, I had my Stronghold stripped last session, then someone else who hadn't been paying that much attention played theirs the next turn anyway. Hardly rare to see several Strongholds in one game anyway, we have a house convention that you need to loudly announce any Legendary land you play...

Back onto topic, Spor Frog and Ravenous Baloth or Spike Feeder (Feeder is better if you can get Shirei out at the same time).

Then there's stuff that's useful in the yard. Carionette, Incarnations in general, stuff like that. I really like Malevolent Awakening (Enchantment that sacs creatures to return creatures to hand in my Sek-Kuar deck

Well the stronghold didn't make it...
In most cases it was just a basic land and most of the time when i could use it, genesis was already in the graveyard...
Spike feeder could go in if I find the space :)

Made some minor tweaks recently:

added Miren, the moaning well in favor of a basic land
added Magus of the abyss in favor of sengir nosferatu
added Krosan grip in favor of seal of primordium
added Kaervek in favor of Flametongue Kavu
added yavimaya elder in favor of dimir house guard

The house guard could come since it has the sac a creature ability and after all Sek'kuar and Savra both like creatures that die

Also my copy of kokusho needs to be cut since we've banned the poor dragon legend in our playgroup (lets say some of us won many games on kokusho + recurring nightmare or any clone creature)
Any good replacements?
