What tools do you use to give your deck its level? What factors do you see that make a deck more powerful ex. synergies or just flat out good stuff? I'm struggling to evaluate how powerful my deck is and I want to know what is the best way to improve, or tone down. Do you think that tutors make a deck to consistent even if the payoffs aren't as great? Do you think that something like tooth and nail is fine if you are grabbing value like ant queen and seedborn muse compared to kiki jiki/zealous conscripts?

Overall what makes a deck powerful? If a deck needs to weaker do you hit consistency or payoffs? If it needs to be stronger do you value mana or a lower cmc? And how do you evaluate your decks to keep a healthy play group?

Mostly I rate the power level of my deck on how much it can continue through it's plan while battling through opponent's disruption. If I can keep doing my thing no matter what you do, that's a powerful deck, IMO. Secondly is how much it can interfere with the opponent's decks.

Note that I have a separate "Speed" rating for my decks as well, and if I didn't how quickly it can win would also factor into my power level calculations.

Observing how it plays, and listening to critical feedback from opponents.

I don't think there's a way to evaluate a deck in a vacuum.
