I was wondering how Austere Command worked with Control Magic and it's ilk.
I used it the other day to kerplode enchantments and creatures with cmc>3.
If my opponent controls my Reveillark via Control Magic, who gets the creatures? Does the command destroy the aura first giving me the 'Lark before it dies, or does everything get destroyed at the same time during the resolution of the spell? I'm thinking the latter, but not 100% sure.

Another similar situation.
I use the Command on enchantments and some creatures (doesn't matter whether they're small or big). My opponent has Fecundity in play along with some creatures who are about to die. Does he draw cards off the fecundity?

Austere command destroys permanents in the order listed on the card. Enchantments will always be destroyed before creatures, so control magic's effect will end before reveillark dies and no one will draw from fecundity.

This is different than Akroma's Vengeance, which destroys everything simultaneously.

When Austere Command resolves, you do each action in the order they're listed. In the first case, you destroy all enchantments and gain control of Reveillark, then creatures with cmc>3 die and you control Reveillark's trigger. In the second, Fecundity is already gone by the time other creatures die, so nobody draws cards.

I'm pretty sure RollingThunder knows this, but for everyone else reading: this only happens with Austere Command. Akroma's Vengeance, for instance, only has one action which means everything gets destroyed at the same time. With Vengeance, your opponent would get the 'Lark trigger and people would draw cards off of Fecundity.

Edit: I'm so very very slow.

Austere Command is tech vs totem armour, as I saw last night.
