I have Magus of the Disk and Gift of Immortality in my Bruna deck (list here). If I enchant the Magus with the Gift and then activate the Magus, what happens? Does the enchantment see the Magus die? I'm not sure since the enchantment and the creature are destroyed at the same time.

Goddamn that's evil.

Awesome. After posting I thought about how everything's hitting the GY at the same time, and dies just means that it hit the GY from the BF, so that should be ok.

Totally unplanned (found it while goldfishing), but yeah, pretty gross if I can pull it off.

Yep, this works. Doesn't seem all that evil to me either. Now, Avacyn and Magus? That's evil.

400.7e.
Abilities of Auras that trigger when the enchanted permanent leaves the battlefield can find the new object that Aura became in its owner's graveyard if it was put into that graveyard at the same time the enchanted permanent left the battlefield. It can also find the new object that Aura became in its owner's graveyard as a result of being put there as a state-based action for not being attached to a permanent. (See rule 704.5n.)

My general commander philosophy: Using your opponent's degenerate cards against them is far more satisfying than playing degenerate cards yourself.

That the magus destroys both at the same time is precisely why the gift will trigger. If someone where to cast austere command naming enchantment and then the appropriate creature option the enchantments are destroyed first so gift would no longer be in play to trigger.

corpse dance + Child of Alara's been doing it since before it was cool. And much more reliably.

That said, the nuclear baby is most pleased with this new aura, and looks forward to using the unneeded mana for forbid + lftl locks.
