This deck was inspired by thaumaturge. The gist of the deck is to force combat and generally just do a better job of it than anyone else at the table. I went with Rith while thaumaturge went with Oros.

Yay!! This looks awesome. Overwhelming Instinct is some super Secret Tech right here... and hilarious too.

Three cards I'd run if I were building this...
Crater Hellion (risky with Repercussion, but SO worth it for when you have Mark or Sanction out)
Vigor (I know you would have to take it out of another deck, but I would recommend doing so)
Beastmaster Ascension (maybe in favor of Entangler?)

Oh GD it, I'm getting old... I was totally going to put Vigor on my "to buy" list :)
Beastmaster Ascension could easily go in as well.

I was thinking of Entangler for Fumiko the Lowblood and slapping Guard Duty on her. Maybe I should find a spot for Peregrine Mask as well?

Hmm, yeah I can see that... I just don't like Entangler because "eww, card disadvantage!"... really it's just that there is way too much Wrath in my meta, but if your meta is even a TAD more creature-friendly than mine, you could easily get away with it.

Maybe lose Eternal Warrior instead - I find that one to be very underwhelming.

More things to go in:
Nemata, Grove Guardian
Verdeloth the Ancient
Verdant Force (*facepalm* I have one already)
Spearbreaker Behemoth

Might gut a lot of other creatures and go super saproling crazy:
Elvish Farmer
Mycologist (more life gain)
Pallid Mycoderm
Psychotrope Thallid (more card draw)
Savage Thallid
Sporesower Thallid (moar counters)
Sporoloth Ancient (discount spore tokens)
Thallid Germinator (buff for general damage)
Thallid Shell-Dweller (built-in Defender!)

Saproling Burst (comes into play with 14 counters on it when Doubling Season is out, and I just bought another one online. It's a sin not to run it in this deck!)
Sporogenesis

Yeah, this is shaping up nicely. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

I'm not going to have it ready for this Saturday's EDH tournament, but it'll be ready within a week (I hope).

Awesome. I'm not too sure about the Thallid thing, though. Mycologist is probably worth running on his own, but the rest... meh. But again, I play in Wrathsville and Damnationtown, so that might have something to do with it.

I do as well... maybe I'll toss in my Dauntless Escort and Ghostway.

Also, I've learned to live with Wrath. One of my best decks is my Kresh deck (also my first and how I learned to deck-build). I hope to aggro fast, using my honed methods, and prevent my opponents from living long enough to get more than one off :)

Escort for sure... Ghostway is sweet, but your tokens won't come back from it... I believe.

They won't, but I could sac them all to farmer or the other lady for 2 life each first.

Hmm, if I am going the saproling/fungus route, then I might actually have a use for Plaguemaw Beast now :)

Got to play it tonight (proxied Doubling Season and Vigor).

Didn't get much done at all as my opponents were playing Braids, Conjurer Adept and Fumiko the Lowblood (iknorite?) the first game and they switched to Razia, Boros Archangel and Skeleton Ship the second game.

I couldn't keep a blasted thing on the board. It was either red burn or the likes of Midnight Banshee killing the game for everyone. :/

*shrug*

I'll update the decklist to reflect what I currently have. I'm going to need to cut a few more things to add 3-4 land I think. I hope to have better draws/luck the next time.

Mind's Eye.

Lose Pennon Blade.
