I guess the first question is, "Where's the Astral Slide?" - it feels like you'd really want to double up on that effect.

Tectonic Reformation could also be useful.

Lightning Rift? If you're going to be doing a lot of cycling anyways...

Eternal Dragon fits both your themes, fueling the slide and being a dragon.

You might consider replacing Orim's Thunder with something like Forsake the Worldly, to support your cycling package (also I prefer exile spot removal whenever possible, because recursion is a thing).

I can't believe I forgot about Astral Slide... it didn't come up in my search because it doesn't have the word cycling on it. Thanks!

I've never seen anyone play with either of these before (only cycling deck in my group was Esper) but if I can find a copy I will try them out.

I definitely need this, I think I just couldn't find one when I was putting the deck together.

I think I will just add the Forsake the Worldly and take out something else, since I should really have more targets for Sunforger. I need to remove Brass's Bounty since its a two-card combo with Reiterate.

I can't believe you forgot about slide either 8)

I don't have much to say about this deck. When I first looked at it I figured it should be naya instead of boros. But then I realised I was reading your list in the context of what I am/was looking for: how to salvage my naya pile. That pile does have dragons: basically the reason I want to make that deck is Utvara Hellkite and Mirror Entity. That would work for you, I guess. Another gimmick of the deck was Mana Echoes and Blinky Eldrazi Displacer. I can see why you wouldn't want to play Mana Echoes, but Blinky fits your deck perfectly.

My naya pile is Najeela now, but I haven't found a good way to run Blinky there. Mirror Entity is there, but Blinky is one of the reasons to run white for me. Sun Titan is the remaining one, but you did include that one. Also kudos for picking this pair of partners instead of something more generic. I hadn't seen this one before. How does the mana work for you? You aren't lagging? Dockside Extortionist might give you a nice speed bump. And oh, don't blink it or you'll get punched.

Deck seems sweet.

I agree that there's some fine-tuning with the number of instants and number of cycling cards (ie, Akroma's Vengeance for a board wipe, Radiant's Judgment for a spot removal, etc). It's probably worth spending some time on either Gatherer or Scryfall to see what cards you could swap out for a similar effect with cycling attached. (If you do, search for "cycl" in the rules text field... it'll hit all the relevant cards).

I might try to find a spot for Thunder Dragon.

Also Ghostway.

I finally got to run out Astral Drift, and it was super fun. I had Dragon Tempest and I was flickering Thundermaw Hellkite to get a ton of damage through each turn.
I definitely want Akroma's Vengeance and Starstorm, as well as Forsake the Worldly. I will probably also trim some lands in favor of the landcyclers (which I have confirmed will trigger Astral Drift as well).

I passed over him for the first draft, since I thought it would always kill Sylvia, but I didn't RTFC and it actually won't kill her if I have Khorvath Brightflame out.

I was pretty sure I owned one, so I have been trying to find it, since its somehow a $10 card now, but I might just bite the bullet and buy (another?) one.

Edit: Have people played with Cloudshift? I wasn't sure if it was enough value, but it looks really tempting with new Opportunistic Dragon.

Edit: I also need to get Legion's Initiative. I have that card in decks and I still forget about it.

I'm not following you on this. What about Cloudshift interacts with Opp Dragon better than the blink you're already running?

It blinks a creature you control and returns it to the battlefield under your control. Most blink only hits things you own or returns whatever is blinked to owner's control. I think Conjurer's Closet is the only card that works the same way in my deck (Restoration Angel does it too, but I don't want the Kiki-Resto combo in my deck and between the two I've chosen to run Kiki).

I am mostly just wondering if a one-shot effect is worth it, and if anybody has used it to good effect other than obvious things such as Feather.

Ah, now I see.

I would say it's not worth the slot, especially where the closet can do it repeatedly. Too much has to go right for you to get that combo off - you need to find the two pieces without the aid of tutors, and then have an opponent control a human worth stealing, since cloudshift won't let you blink artifacts.

Thinking of no tutors, Sarkhan's Triumph might be really good for you.
