 Post subject: Ezuri - Mystery Tribal (Morphs!)

The story begins with one chap in our playgroup who only plays Ezuri, Claw of Progress. It was his only EDH deck since the precon released, and only very recently has my friend tried branching out with a second deck. He loves his Ezuri deck, and although it is not by any means oppressive (or jank) it has become fairly predictable. Jokingly some of us have talked about making our own Ezuri decks for ultimate Ezuri saturation. Then we actually made more Ezuri decks! The spike of our group went elf aggro... I, on the other hand, went with 3-mana 2/2's.

This deck isn't trying to break Morph. Everybody knows Animar does that hand over fist. This deck also is not trying to break Ezuri... that's kinda the point. My train of thought was, "what is the most unpredictable thing I can play? How about not ever knowing what my creatures are?"

The deck is mana hungry due to the steep unmorph costs, but it's hard to find room for all the ramp that is in traditional Ezuri decklists. There's a pretty obvious weakness to flying though. I love the morph shenanigans, and so far it's been fun and doing exactly what I want it to do. I'm not going to try and polish this to the levels of most of my decks, as I really don't want to steal too much thunder from my original Ezuri-running friend. Figured someone out there would get a kick out of this :)
