There may be things you can port over.

Thanks for thinking of this deck :) The idea of that list is fun (although I think I've seen a 3 CMC deck from Sheldon before), but since Ramses isn't exactly cheap I don't think that works with this deck. Going down to 30 lands would certainly solve my issue of lack of card slots...

Bloodchief Ascension is interesting, I've always wanted to put that in a deck. Having a theme where you are rewarded for kills sounds like a nice theme.

I've played BCA in Kotophed where it's been by far the best card on the table any time it has been active and that's without any shennanigans (Mindcrank etc.). I think it's just one of those cards that you have to play to appreciate the impact on a game and it can be hard to project how important it can be unless you're tying it into an overall web of potential synergies. When I was building Kotophed, it was an obvious card to add. When I switched to Gonti, it was one of the first cards to get cut.

Bear in mind that doesn't *just* reward for kills though. :P Players lose life for milling, discarding, or even casting an instant or sorcery. It's the card that draws groans in my group but it usually comes as part of a deck that's going to make you draw 20 over the next few turns and/or destroy lots of permanents.

That's not good. An assassin should remain unnoticed.
