Updated the deck list with changes I remember off the top of my head. I'll double check later.

Hmm I like the idea of Grey Merchant. Useful outside of a living Death too. I'll find a spot!

Thanks Intrepid! I'll pull this deck out after I hear someone say "mill isn't very good" I've considered Akroma's Memorial but it's a kill-me card and expensive to cast. I can recur it with academy ruins so that's good. I dunno. It'll definitely be on my mind next time I play it.

I've found myself milling away all my mass recursion at times. I'd like a mother way to pinpoint reuse a card in my yard. What do you all think about adding Dralnu in? I'm on the fence right now.

Snapcaster Mage, Call to Mind, Relearn, Yawgmoth's Will, Codex Shredder. Sorry, don't have time to go through your list if you've already included any of that.

That's not how magic works. You can't equate cards and situations linearly like that!

Got Snapcaster and Yawgmoth's Will in there already. I may look at getting Archaeomancer and Mnemonic Wall in. I'd like something with Flashback or Unearth or something.

As for Thornbite, I've honestly only ever got Marrow-Gnawer going once or twice. If I had a monoblack deck with him at the helm, I'd definitely toss it in.

Wow... I really like this deck. I might have to count up my Relentless rats, see if I'm close... I might just build this thing myself. If nothing else, my group will be unprepared for it. It's a bit outside my usual style.

Ah, I was wondering what those were for. I generally don't do countermagic in my group, but those might be fair game.

I finally updated the list

Grimoire of the dead is in as is witchbane orb. Lilly Vess and consuming aberration are both out

The orb stops some graveyard removal.

Yeah Stifle and Trickbind are both needed for eldrazi and graveyard nukes. The other counters are there to make sure your living deaths go off.

Memorial is great (I put it in Glissa to turn it into Akroma with Karn :D ) but it is expensive. Do you want to have a vulnerable 7 mana permanent on the table that doesn't win you the game on the spot? You can't even recur it...

Also Memorial doesn't win the game on its own, but haste + flying makes a huge difference with a Bidding or any other sorcery-speed way of putting a ton of huge Rats on the field.

I've had a couple games where the board state was waaaay hostile to creatures so I couldn't reliably go for a Lab Maniac win. I was wishing I had some more oomph for a quick aggro alpha strike. I think Memorial would do that.

I've thought about putting it in for awhile now. The last two games I played convinced me.
