Couple things to point out with the deck. I purposefully avoided Graft creatures, because they're a pain in the ass to deal with on MTGO. Also, the mana base is pretty greedy, in that I should probably have at least 2 more lands. Although the curve is low, you're going to be using almost all your mana on every turn.

I used this deck as an opportunity to play some fun Simic cards that I don't usually use even though they may be good. Overbeing of Myth and Cold-Eyed Selkie may not fit the theme, but they're fun. To increase the fun factor, the deck also lacks powerful tutors, such as Survival of the Fittest and Mystical Tutor. If you want it to be more powerful I would definitely include those 2 cards.

To see a more thorough discussion of the deck plus game play videos, check it out here: http://puremtgo.com/articles/conqueror- ... hull-clade

The deck was a lot of fun. Comments, questions, concerns, let me know!

If I were going to build this deck, it would include nothing with any type of counter except Planeswalkers and Enchantments. Also, I would run Liquimetal Coating. But it may be the case that I like trolling people with my decks an unnatural amount.

Haha, that'd be hilarious! I thought a little bit about running Liquimetal Coating and planeswalkers, but then I was going to have to add Fabricate and some other artifact search... I figured I'd have more deck space for fun stuff if I just ditched the whole idea. And I did!

Yeah, but think of what you're missing out on: Mind Unbound, Saproling Burst, Gutter Grime, Iceberg! So worth it.

Iceberg is solid! Maybe I'll have to rethink my strategy...

Im assisting a friend of mine with Vorel, his first edh deck, and the vids have been very helpful. Thanks for those!
You mentioned in your vid that you previously had much more proliferate... Any particular reason you stepped away from that?

I just found that cards like Contagion Clasp and Contagion Engine were a little mana intensive. The deck was already using a ton of mana, and these cards were keeping me from casting stuff. I wanted to focus on creatures a little more. Plus, Vorel himself is better at doing what those 2 cards were doing. It was also annoying to draw one of these when I didn't have anything I wanted to proliferate.

Other cards I messed around with were Inexerable Tide (didn't really do anything when first cast) and Thrummingbird (too small). I had a little bit of an infect component early on as well, and I think if I pushed that a little harder I might have kept the proliferate in.

As it is, I focused more on creatures, which fits my play style better anyways. It worked out all right for me.
