This started out almost as a joke. Me and a buddy decided to co-create a commander deck, and we were both drawn to Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter. My color is Black and his is White, he liked the massive P/T and keywords while I was drawn to the sac outlet and Murder engine. We started by shambling the deck together with stuff we just had lying around, then every time a new set came out with black or white stuff we thought was cool, but couldn't really get much use out of, we'd "Feed it to Vish". We get some non-standard stuff to finish off a trade? Feed it to Vish. Need a home for all these Modern Masters cards we just drafted? Feed it to Vish.

After a while, the deck went from jank to full-on beast mode. As it is, it's essentially control with lifegain interaction. Every card, even down to some of the lands, is a threat that must be answered. Also, if you're wondering from my last two deck posts where my commander money goes, this is it.

Cheap as I am, this is a deck where I am willing to shell out double digits for cards that are worth it.

Well, mana bases are always a bottomless pit you can throw money into. :D

Adding the relevant Onslaught/Zendikar fetch lands, a Scrubland and a Crucible of Worlds is a big upgrade though. Replacing the etb tapped duals with fetches speeds up your deck by a couple turns, the fetch/dual combo greatly minimizes color screw, and a Crucible in play with a fetch land basically means you'll never miss a land drop for the rest of the game. Sensei's Divining Top is the other power-piece to link up with the Fetch+Crucible engine; using the fetches to shuffle away dead cards to set up a fresh top gives you a lot of power to dig through your deck.

The other area you could explore is stepping up your reanimation/recursion package, perhaps by building around Yawgmoth's Will.

There are a few cheaper upgrades you could make to your deck too. Weathered Wayfarer is really good if you're playing Urborg/Coffers, and you can also support them with Petrified Field and Deserted Temple. The other tricky card you can run with Urborg is Filth, which you can supplement with Glory (and either can be discarded to Liliana for value). And I usually run Darksteel Citadel and Flagstones of Trokair alongside Armageddon-effects.

You don't really have any bad cards here so I'm not going to bother suggesting cuts, but if you have something underperforming or you need more ways to force Vish Kal damage in, these are the replacements I'd look at first.

Is Peat Bog supposed to be Bojuka Bog?

Phyrexian Processor is pretty much his best pal.

Peat Bog is Peat Bog. It helps me get out my 7-drops on turn 4, is recoverable with Sun Titan, and gets longevity with Urborg or Chromatic Lantern. I do need another Bojuka Bog though. I swear I got 9 Black Sun's Zeniths lying around but no Bogs. I think I moved the one I had to Bladewing for testing. Well, its like what? 45 cents? Done. Should probably order like 10 of them actually.

Oh yeah, that thing. I keep forgetting all these good cards exist. That thing should be auto-include in here.

Haven't updated decklist in forever. Not going to bother with a changelog right now. Mostly goodstuff updates. Cuts are getting really hard.

Cradle of Vitality? If you are doing enough sacrificing, Dark Prophecy might be useful. Also, you could probably find a Fetid Heath to replace one of your other non-basic lands.

I cut Dark Prophecy. I love the card, but my meta is heavy on token and aggro decks at the moment. I was dying to wraths more often than I liked.

... Wait, what's the relevance of other people playing tokens and wraths? I mean, you only draw a card and lose a life if its your creature that died. Not the other guy's field of tokens.

It took me a while to catch onto the "your creatures" part also, which is why I'm continuing to suggest it, haha.
