Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

So I finally came around to building a Kresh the Bloodbraided deck and I have read several compendiums on how to properly reap large rewards from a multitude of cards. After trying several variations I found it a little boring to just keep derping counters on Kresh with obvious cards, only to wonder who has a terminate or worse yet Backlash/Traitor's Roar (maybe these should be in here :? ) waiting for me. I decided to play a more interactive game by using having almost every creature in my deck have some type of activated ability. While it did produce some lolz I still found I it was a little to common, but then I had a thought  which was inspired by Kresh’s flavor text and a song “Each of his twenty-two braids is bound with bone and leather from a foe”. Why not really put that flavor text to work and utilize every fight card I can find! See if I can truly make him have 21 braids!

I believe there are only 15 fight cards of them only 10 will enable Kresh to fight so I need some fight related card suggestions. So I need your help! I do not mind obvious cards or glue cards to hold the deck together but I love hidden gems more!

So far I have:
Arena
Mutant's Prey
Prey Upon
Triangle of War!!!
Ulvenwald Tracker
Domri Rade
Rivals' Duel
Blood Feud
Magus of the Arena
Gruul Ragebeast

Maybe:
Pandemonium/Warstorm Surge
Mage Slayer

I realize this is one tenth of a deck but I feel like with some help I can flesh this deck out and really make it fun and interactive. Help is appreciated

also I totally dig this old man Kresh art:

You can't have kung fu without ninja's. On a more content-related note, this article has the most awesome Kresh list I've ever seen, and fully explores the 22 knots: http://www.starcitygames.com/article/26 ... oblem.html

That deck is very light on graveyard hate, I would recommend switching one of the legends to Nighteyes the Desecrator.

If you have enough Beasts (or are just desperate) Contested Cliffs works.
Guild Feud if you have big enough creatures and/or a high creature density.
Daybreak Ranger's flip side (Nightfall Predator).
Pit Fight
Scab-Clan Giant fights a creature when it enters the battlefield.

Also:
Kamahl, Pit Fighter throws lightning punches and has fight in his name.

My deck is actually flavored almost exactly like this (the thread link below needs update). You've hit the good ones already in your list below, minus Pit Fight. I definitely recommend getting as many haste dudes in the deck as you can.

Living Inferno was good for me sometimes, but I cut it recently. Death's Presence is a great way to double up on the fun, as is Ooze Flux. If you need a free sac outlet, Goblin Bombardment fits the theme and is good.

I actively liked this concept, and the article for it was exceptional whenever I read it before. I think if I were to play with this concept in mind, I would initially power down this deck to a dangerous level. Then, every game I play, if I kill a creature with Kresh and the creature is in my colors, I would put that creature into the deck following that match--doesn't matter what the creature is (unless, of course, I already have it in the deck). This way the deck literally shows my accomplishments and it keeps the deck from becoming static by always forcing myself to remove a creature to put in a new creature.

Glad I could inspire! I really want to make this kind of a Kresh deck, but I play so little anymore there's hardly any reason for me to get excited. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

Not the strongest of cards power-wise, but flavor-wise Tahngarth, Talruum Hero would like to get in on some of the action!

I love the idea of a gladiatorial pit-fight deck. May I suggest the following:

If you're looking at the battlefield as a pit
Portcullis <- the gates to the pit
Arena of the Ancients
Phyrexian Arena
Rocky Tar Pit <- an alternative venue
Skarrg, the Rage Pits <- the premiere venue

The Staff:
Pit Imp <- He sells peanuts to the watchers
Skarrgan Pit-Skulk
Pit Keeper <-He's like the janitor that cleans up everything
Rakdos Pit Dragon
Tar Pit Warrior <- I love this guy because people just feel obligated to cast a spell targeting him, regardless what it is.

Fellow Gladiators:
Carnage Gladiator
Cyclops Gladiator
Undead Gladiator
Predatory Urge <- For Kresh or one the non-fight guys.
Durkwood Tracker fights things, but only when they attack so its generally not the best.
Gargantuan Gorilla yeah, people forget about this guy.
Garruk Relentless wuh, he fights creatures too.
Karplusan Yeti
Living Inferno <- this guy fights multiple people.
Master of the Wild Hunt <- the Michael Vick of Magic
Stalking Yeti
Surestrike Trident <- kinda gladitorial
Tracker
Vein Drinker <- mini Kresh

Other notables:
Alpha Brawl seems like fun one, you're playing along and then cast the spell and tell someone their Commander wants to be a Gladiator also. Go figure they were jealous.
