In my quest to use up forum space for nearly every tribal deck to be made aside from Slivers, Dragons, and Wizards that have already been done to death, I came across Monks. Surprisingly, throwing a bunch of Monks in a deck works surprisingly well, as this deck can get pretty big pretty quickly. But I blame Chorus of the Conclave for that, and she's not even a Monk. owell

There's an "aura" subtheme going on here. Using good ones for you and bad ones for your opponent. Plus, they're Monks. They're kinda badass by definition.

Leave comments and suggestions below. :3

CHANGE LOG
5/2 - AVACYN RESTORED UPDATE:
-1 Forest
-1 One with Nature
-1 Plains

+1 Cathars' Crusade

Whirling Dervish is sad he's left off the one edh list he could belong in.

Kitsune Mystic is fun when you have a lot of auras, and can get right around shroud. The various enchantresses would be good too, but of course none of them are monks.

I like crappy auras like cessation because they're hard to get rid of, your miles may vary. It's better than guard duty at least, though not as funny.

I may try Kitsune Mystic another time. I tend to not have that many auras to spare to make him work effeciently, unless they're Totem Armor auras.

oh wow, Whirling Dervish IS a Monk. Fixing!

-1 Mythic Proportions
-1 Order of the Sacred Bell

+1 Cessation
+1 Whirling Dervish

If Chorus is working so well, why not make them your general?

Love the monk tribal idea. I know a guy who looked into it and gave up because there just weren't enough monks (looks like you found enough, though).

I'm working on finishing up a Chorus of the Conclave deck that I'll put up here after Avacyn Restored is released.

Plus, people flip out whenever Jasmine hits the table. CAUSE SHE'S SO UNREAL.
