So I know there's a million Mayael decks out there but I thought I'd post my take on it anyways.

I included all of the lands which fetch other lands in order to thin the deck and up Mayael's chances to hit a fatty. They also have good synergies with several other cards like Rampaging Baloths Admonition Angel and Panglacial Wurm Hunting Grounds. Considering the power level of my creatures I focused my removal on artifacts and enchantments. When I selected my fatties I put in as many that cost under 6 as I could as well as plenty that would help me recover from wrath effects. When I chose my mana accelerators I chose as many large creatures with landcycling as I could so as to improve my synergies. The final fatty count comes out to 30% so Mayael's has very good odds of hitting every time she activates. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out but I'm sure there's room for improvement. Let me know what you all think.

Oh, by the way, I intentionally chose not to include any Eldrazi, Iona or Avacyn as I think they're a bit on the un-fun side. I should also mention that I despise Sensei's Divining Top and I refuse to include it in my decks.

Seems good. Awakening might give you some issues if your're facing a mono-blue deck though. I was wondering why you would include it, then I did a /facepalm... ;)

Haven't pulled it off yet, but hoping Timesifter and Cream of the Crop gives me definite turn advantage in my Mayael the Anima...

That's interesting. I have Timeshifter, but I can't convince myself it would work well, even though I have tons of high CMC cards in the deck. If you get this out, let us know how it worked out.

OP - there's a 71 page thread about beautiful Mayael that will serve you well: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1178

How often do you cast Panglacial Wurm while searching? I would assume you'd want to use your mana elsewhere.
I've never been able to fit Rampaging Baloths. How well does this work for you when you get him out? I guess he could be sick with Prime Time and Cream of the Crop. Maybe I should reconsider him...

I have Drumhunter and Knotvine Mystic in my deck before, but I pulled them for more permanent mana ramp. I do like Bloom Tender though.

How often do you active Hunting Grounds? Looks amazing if you have threshold. I don't seem to fill my GY much when I play.
