I know where to setup the avatar, but when I put an URL in it keeps saying "Invalid URL". How would I add an Image from my computer? Usually there is a browse drop and you choose the image from your pics.

Does the URL you're giving end in .jpg or whatever file type you're using? If not, right click on the image you want to use (in your browser) and choose "copy image location" or something like that and use that URL.

Can't say I was expecting much from a Wisconsonite.

Didn't I see somewhere that you were in Menomonie, or did I make that up? (It's quite possible. I am not entirely sure how my cognitive processes work most of the time.)

Anyway, even worse if you ARE from Minnesota. We have TWELVE thousand lakes in this state, compared to your puny ten, AND we don't eat Lutefisk. :P

I went to school in Menomonie for two semesters.

Quote:
Wisconsin professes to have 15,081 lakes. However, 9,037 of these lakes are unnamed and average roughly four acres in size, leaving only 6,044 that are large enough to be named.

Quote:
Minnesota is known as The Land of 10,000 Lakes, but the official count of lakes more than ten acres (40,000 m²) in size is approximately 11,842.

Total number of lakes in minnesota - 16,093, from 4+ acres.

I'm sorry, but I think you've been owned.

Also:
otal surface area covered by lakes in each state

Wisconsin: 1,000,000 (see related links).
Minnesota: 2,560,299 acres (http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/faq/mnfacts/water.html)

Although I find your sparsely-sourced post suspect, independent confirmation suggests that, depending on your definition, Minnesota does appear to have more lakes of respectable size than does Wisconsin. Damn! Trash talk retracted. Still, I know more people from MN who enjoy lutefisk than I know people from WI who enjoy limburger cheese, so still #winning on that front.

For the sake of a veneer of OT-ness to this post:

@herodotusjr and joz: Don't worry, 99 % of mankind couldn't tell the difference between Wisconsin and Minnesota. Btw, I kinda assumed Joz was european. In retrospect, I should have probably questioned that.
