I have nothing to add to this conversation except I still believe that is the best piece of art ever seen on a Magic card.

A lot of the new art is actually pretty cool, but I think outside of Damnation there's not a lot (or really any) cards I just really want so far. But at least there's Damnation.

I'm very happy for everyone that needs these reprints. I only need one each of the fetches but I'm excited for everyone else.

Fetches, Cavern, Snappy, Lili, Damnation...

The cash density in this set seems really high? Getting the EV down to the box cost will take some pretty extreme price adjustments I'd think.

Seems pretty cash all around. Hard to complain. Just wondering how much they will actually print.

That is the RPTQ promo, there's no JR promo.

Oh, don't get me wrong, there's a lot of good cards I'm sure people are looking for. I'm not upset at the cards they've chosen to reprint. And I would certainly enjoy some more fetches, as everything is getting spread pretty thin. Yet I just don't really *need* need them. I can function without them.

I can function without Damnation too; I just don't own a single copy--therefore, if I made a list, that's what would be on it at this point. Hopefully people are going to be able to get the cards they're looking for.

Not sure i understand either. Uncommon seems fine for IoK.

I think the biggest annoyance with IoK an uncommon is not that it shouldn't be uncommon, but that it is an extra rub-in after it was rare in Conspiracy II, an "unlimited" print set. Especially since the best argument we could come up with for IoK at rare was the limited balance.

It's being mad retroactively because it reinforces that IoK should have been uncommon before.

It's not a habit of mine to defend WotC decisions, but regarding the rarity of IoK, it's a decision made to improve drafting experience, and that's just fine. At uncommon, it would be a little too prolific in drafting Conspiracy II, so they bumped it up to rare. In a multiplayer game, IoK is less powerfull overall, but hurts one opponent significantly and can drastically uneven the balance.

Actually, I think it's a good idea to base rarity on how often you want these cards popping up in drafts.

If we can assume WOTC put IOK at rare in CN2, maybe we should all let it go now that they've 'corrected' their mistake.

Although, it's a pretty damn good card.... Rare was fine too imo.
