Bit of a fan of Funko POP figures so was happy to see this announcement. Here's what your new PW tokens will look like:

Not a big fan of Nissa in this selection.

Nissa's inclusion in this selection makes me wonder if this points to her returning in either M15 or the next block. If not, she's an odd inclusion - Bolas or Karn would have made more sense than having a second green planeswalker (who has not been used in sets for 4 years).

Was thinking of maybe Elspeth or Vraska who both have a much more now-a-days pull to them. Vraska hits on the monster side of things too so it's not just 6 heroes. Maybe having an Elf will be a better sell than a knight or monster though the inclusion feels very much like a filler.

I was gonna suggest it was a gender balance thing, but that wouldn't explain no Elspeth.

They're cute and all. Not sure I'd want em, but I know some people that might.

If you follow the link, they've also got non-cartoony versions - those ones actually look pretty cool.

Liliana looks terrible, though.

I wonder if these will prove to be more popular than the Nemesis action figures were - Crovax et al. did not sell well, as I recall.

Agreed.

Also, what does Chandra wear on her torso? I thought from the card arts that it was chain mail, which if it is... we shouldn't be able to see her navel through the chain mail, and you totally can on the figure.

It's also kind of interesting that they're doing Veil-Cursed for Garruk. I was under the impression that he got cured by Avacyn at the end of AVR, hence why we got Garruk, Caller of Beasts.

Not complaining though. Garruk VC action figure looks the best out of the bunch, and the Ajani bobblehead is just pimp. Can't say much about the other ones though.

Would like to see the B-Side walkers though. Anyone else think that they seem to be far more interesting characters, or is that just me? Never really warmed up to the Lorwyn 5.

Same here. Except for Chandra. She'll make sure you warm up in one way or another...

It is chain mail. You can see her navel because, as the fiery red female mage, she's ridiculously sexualized. It's the same reason she's in heels.

That's what I figured. Hadn't picked up on the heels.
